Our Principle

Matthew J BLACK, our Principle and founder, has well over 35 years experience in the Information & Communication Technology Industry across ICT Business Leadership, Project/Programme Management, Network Architecture, DevOps, Consulting, Custom Software Development, and Network Engineer positions.  Matthew has an impressive history in providing ICT Leadership, ICT Consulting, and Senior Project/Programme Management to Government and Private Organisations, from the Australian Department of Defence; New South Wales State Departments of Health and DTIRIS; most of the Queensland State Government Departments; Ipswich and Brisbane City Councils, Q-Super, UniTAB; the Winson Group; Northwest Health, the Endeavour Foundation; Hamilton Island Enterprises; QUT; Workcover QLD; Caterair; Cardno Engineering; and Mincom, plus internationally with BFIT, Kuala Lumpur, to just name a few.

Graduating with a B.Sc. in 1997 from the University of New England, Australia, with a Major in Mathematics and an Extended Major in Computer Science, Matthew has gone on to obtain a raft of Cisco, Microsoft, and other ICT Certifications.  Matthew has also undertaken study to obtain two Masters Degrees, both from the Queensland University of Technology, Australia: one in Information Technology (Data Communications) (M.Inf.Tech.(DataComms) 2005), with Majors in IT Security (including Computer Forensics) and IT Management (including Knowledge Management); and the other in Business (MBA 2006) with a Major in IT.  Along the way Matthew has also been awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in IT (2004) and two Post Graduate Certificates in IT: one in IT Security (2003), the other in IT Management (2004).  Matthew has been awarded Prince2 Practitioner Certification, ITIL Certification, and also a Certificate II in Stock Market Trading and Investment Strategies, and he is currently pursuing MSP and Project Management Institute (PMP) Certification, and further Cisco and Microsoft Certification.  The level and breadth of Education, ICT, and Business Skills acquired — from designing ICT Networks to administering Enterprise Database Systems and Networks to running ICT Projects and Departments — is rarely matched by other consultants.
